STILLWOOD SUMMER CAMP
Come join us for summer 2020! Our overnight camps are 120 hours packed with activites, games, outdoor experiences and great meals! Our goal is to give campers age 6-16 the best week of their summer. Any Kidsworld member who signs up as a NEW CAMPER to Stillwood receives a $50 discount off their camp fee!

Located near Cultus Lake in Chilliwack, campers will rotate through each one of our camp activities. Campers in XLerate, Blast, and Turbo camps will participate in the following: zipline, Sky High Adventure, pool, climbing tower, outdoor wall, archery, crafts or Forest Exploration, low ropes, field or gym games, skateboarding or floor hockey, laser tag, and torpedo maxing and tubing. Campers in XLerate will be given the opportunity to participate in wakeboarding and mountain biking, as well as a day trip to the activity of their choice. Campers in Woodchucks will enjoy all the regular activities except for waterfront and Sky High Adventure. (*Due to the age and size of our Blast 1 campers, Forest Exploration will be substituted for Sky High Adventure).

Stillwood Express (day camps) run daily from 8:30-4. Campers can chose to be bussed in from Abbotsford or Chilliwack, or parents can drop them off at camp. They rotate daily through: Chapel, snack, field games, lunch, swimming in the pool, a camp activity (such as indoor climbing wall, gym games, archery, etc.), a craft and tuck shop.
There is also Family Camp and Single Parents Camps.

Beaty Biodiversity Museum is reopening the museum to the public and taking all protective measures determined by the public health authorities to combat the spread of COVID-19 in British Columbia. Their team is taking all steps to ensure the safest conditions for our visitors, staff, and volunteers.

Museum visitor numbers are now limited. Advance, timed tickets are available online. All visitors will need to book an admission ticket with a specific entry time. Please allow at least 60 minutes for your visit to the museum.

Please note you will still need to show your Kidsworld Pass(es) at the front desk to confirm your membership when you attend.
Each code gets free entrance for two people. If you have more than one Kidsworld pass, you will need to book multiple times for each child and adult.

The Landing Dance Centre on SW Marine Drive in Vancouver is a place to grow!
The classes within our General Program are grouped by age to allow our dancers to learn with their peers. These classes are geared toward stimulating the love and fun of dance, while at the same time introducing the importance of structure, proper technique and teamwork. We strive to keep our class sizes small (4-15 dancers) so that each dancer can receive the individual attention they deserve. Programs begin for kids as young as 3 years old. If you ever wanted to build your own iOS app, this is the place to start. The instructor will show the exact steps using Xcode, an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for developing apps in the Apple ecosystem. Students will gain a basic introduction to the IDE environment and learn to create projects as well as lay out their user interface through the Interface Builder. The Xcode will include all the features to design, develop and debug the app.

In this series of 5 classes, we will use interactive simulations and science demos to learn engineering concepts, and then build:
A real rocket to compete with NASA!
A hydraulic crane to do some heavy lifting!
A windmill to harness green wind energy!
A catapult to fling things up and over!
An electric car to take on the big car makers!
Cost for project kits is included in the program fees. Project kits for each class will be mailed before the start of the class.

Budding Coder:

Coding in Scratch is a fun way to introduce kids to the world of programming. Scratch is a block coding language with visual appeal for kids. It supports a lot of the functions of the professional coding languages without the need to write text based coding. This 5 week program includes: 'Intro to Coding', 'Create an Interactive Story', 'Make a Pong Game', 'Music Band with Video Sensing', 'Create a Maze Game'!

Robo Engineers:
Sundays 4:30-6pm
Build a cool robot that uses sensors to guide itself through obstructions. Through the 5 days, participants will be introduced to robotics while assembling and connecting motors, controller, and sensors as well as programming the behaviour of the robot using an intuitive block programming interface. Robot kits will be delivered to your home. Kids will keep all materials so they can use the components to build other robots and continue exploring after the camp. This workshop is geared towards kids in Grades 4-9.
