Vancouver Kids Fashion Week (VKFW) is a two-day fashion runway event dedicated to children’s fashion and creativity. The ever-growing talent in youths was the inspiration driving the launch of this new platform, aiming to highlight and leverage Kids designers on an international scale. VKFW is the largest kids fashion week in Canada and the second largest in North America. We will have junior performance teams on the stage.

Flex your creative and problem-solving skills with code and animation! Join Kids Code Jeunesse on December 7 for a 1.5 hour workshop with fun challenges that will get children programming a micro:bit in no time. Our instructor explains the BlockEditor environment and programming concepts behind the code. You will learn and explore on a micro:bit simulator before using a real one.

Kids Code Jeunesse is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students and teachers with computational thinking and computer programming. We support Code Club Canada which is a key educational program that works to teach more and more young people how to build their creative ideas with code.

The Evening Wet Lab Experience is a great way to engage your group, inspire curiosity and instill a sense of respect for all ocean life and its environment! This is a unique hands-on experience where your students will interact with and learn about live tidal pool sea animals from local B.C. waters and gain a first-hand insight into the inner workings of intertidal marine life. Through an inquiry approach, your group will be encouraged to explore the adaptations these animals have to thrive in their specific habitat, and what selective pressures exist in those habitats that have helped to shape these adaptations.

Vancouver International Airport is North America’s number one airport. This two-hour long tour allows you to get a firsthand look at the art, operations, and history of our airport. The program includes both a walking tour of the terminal (pre-security only) and a classroom component. Build a Biz Kids is a non profit society who help to develop foundational skills in kids through entrepreneurship. Students learn critical skills while starting their own business, step by step. Real Kids, Real Money, Real Life Experiences.

Elevate Ultimate was started in 2016 by two Team Canada players and coaches, Ari and Danie. Since then, they have brought Ultimate Frisbee to over 10,000 kids through their In-School and After-School programs. Elevate Ultimate focuses on teaching values such as sportspersonship, personal accountability, and open-mindedness, through the Sport and Spirit of Ultimate Frisbee.
At the Kidsworld Demo, kids will be introduced to the basic Ultimate throws (Backhand and Forehand) all while staying engaged with Elevate's ULTIMATE twist on classic games such as Capture the Flag. Parents are invited to play for the last 20 minutes to see if they can beat the Kids and Coaches!

Ride With Newton
EngKidz a group of local engineers with a keen interest in encouraging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education in Lower Mainland. We have developed a set of STEM workshops that closely align with BC science curriculum to encourage kids to take up and explore STEM careers.
Together in this free Kidsworld virtual STEM workshop, we will build a cool air powered car with everyday materials. The workshop will include interactive simulations and demonstrations along with quiz/polls to keep kids engaged.

Welcome to the LABsters junior golf event hosted at Northview Golf and Country Club. We are so excited to share the game of golf with all of you and show you that learning this game can be a ton of fun. We believe in a games based learning environment and a holistic approach to developing a well rounded athlete. We have awesome activities set up for you to explore the many skills that make up the game of golf. You will explore fundamental movement skills through an obstacle course. This will test your balance, coordination, agility, object control skills and speed. You will learn the basics of putting, chipping and full swing golf shots. Your coaches will use different challenges and feedback to help you become more aware of your body and the golf club. You will learn basic concepts that will allow you to begin the journey as a golfer with a way to improve yourself by using the games based approach. Make sure you bring some big energy and a water bottle. We will make sure to bring out your smiles.
